Manages the following: VA Health Care Enrollment process, and follow on appointment, Veteran’s MART transportation system, Vouchers for Ch 115 and Office Bills, Welcome Home Bonus Program, Veteran Cemetery pre-enrollment program.
Helps to coordinate
Assists with preparations for Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Benefit outreach programs, and Welcome Home ceremonies for returning Veterans.
Calculates and processes documents, invoices, and payments.
Completes applications for State and Federal Veterans benefits.
Types department correspondence, reports, state and federal applications for assistance, applications for pensions, insurance benefits, burial benefits, military markers, medical and G.I. benefits.
Prepare monthly reports on each client for city reimbursement.
Computes and prepares departmental payroll; maintains personnel records; prepares bills and schedules payment.
Performs secretarial duties; makes appointments for Director; provides information to claimants and their families; maintains departmental records; prepares purchase orders.
Also performs all essential duties and responsibilities for the City of Leominster.
Performs other similar or related duties as required, or as situation dictates.
