Letterboxing-the Comb City Quest

The Comb City Letterboxing Quest will take place from October 1, 2006 to July 1, 2007. Letter boxing is a hobby that combines clue solving, navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in a “treasure hunt” style of outdoor quest. Thirteen letterboxes have been planted at various locations along the Monoosnoc Ridge Trail. Participants who find and show proof of stamping into all 13 boxes will be rewarded with a Comb City Quest patch. Clue sheets, which will include a detailed explanation of “letterboxing etiquette”, will be available from the Leominster Recreation Department during their normal operating hours. This quest is a combined effort of the Leominster Land Trust, Leominster Recreation Department, Leominster Historical Society and local letterboxers.
