Council on Aging Board
The Council on Aging (COA) board is a group of interested volunteers, appointed by the mayor, to serve the needs of and improve the quality of life for all Leominster Seniors focusing of Aging on advocacy education, outreach and legislation. The Council on Aging is composed of 9 commissioners' board members: John Diggins - Chairman, Patty Vallee, Larry Gianakis, Andriana Fotakis, Betty David, Phyllis Gagne, Donna Smith, Maria Maldari, Honorary Eleanora "Skip" Bissonnette. These members are citizens and service providers. They support the work and mission of the other components of the department as well as act as citizen advocates. MART Senior Van Transportation Service
All van rides are by reservation only. To book any ride, you must call 978-534-7511 before 1 pm the previous day. All rides must be scheduled a minimum of 45 minutes before the time of appointments. There must be a minimum of 1 hour and 15 minutes from pick-up to pick-up for rides in Leominster, and 1 hour and 30 minutes for out of town rides. Shopping carts must be folded and placed behind the seat - out of the way of the aisle. Riders are limited to the number of bags they can carry on the vehicle, and must fit on the seat with you. Mart vans serve the Leominster area, from Monday through Friday 6 am to 5 pm. All rides in Leominster are $.50 - and surrounding communities are $.75. Riders must have exact change. We are not responsible for missed appointments.

There is also a shuttle service daily to Worcester or Boston. Fares to Worcester are $8 each way, and Boston $10 each way. Please call 978 - 534 - 7511 for available stops on each route.
