Each year, in honor of Martin Luther King Day, we will be seeking donations for a local charity whose community activities and involvement embody the spirit of Dr. King’s service to humanity. During the pandemic, the needs are greater than ever.
This year we have chosen The Catholic Charities Diaper Bank in Leominster.
Many families struggle to pay for food, rent, utilities, and transportation. As a result, 1 in 3 families cannot afford diapers, which are not covered by the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
To donate, please bring diapers to the Office of Mayor Dean Mazzarella, 25 West Street, Leominster during regular business hours.
