Fournier Water Park

The splash pad at the Arthur A. Fournier Sr. Memorial Park, 525 Litchfield St., is open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from about June to September (weather permitting). The splash pad opens on Memorial Day weekend and closes on Labor Day.

To start the water cycle, there is a child-height orange button on the pavilion side of the splash pad. The cycle runs for about 12-14 minutes and the button must be pressed again to restart it.

No dogs are allowed in the splash park, on the ball fields, or in the playground areas.

COVID-19 Procedures

We are monitoring the splash pad to ensure social distancing and for contact tracing.

  • We are taking the contact information for everyone who enters the splash pad so that in the event someone does get sick, we'll be able to notify everyone who was in proximity to them.
  • Masks must be worn to enter and exit the splash pad area. You don't have to wear them when in the water, but when you're not in the water = masks on.
  • You must follow social distancing guidelines and remain at least 6 feet away form anyone outside of your party.

We're not able to remove the picnic tables at this time. They are use-at-your-own-risk. Food particles and droplets from an infected person can spread the virus onto the table surface and benches, where it can live for up to 3 days. If you're going to use the picnic tables, we highly recommend bringing disinfectant wipes with you to clean the area before and after use.
